Studies of Medicine in Germany and France. MD with disctinction from the University of Heidelberg. 4 years research work in muscle cell physiology in the laboratories of Professor Dr J C Rüegg and the Nobel prize winner Professor Sir Andrew Huxley FRS. Postgraduate Training in Psychiatry and Psychotherapy at the Maudsley Hospital and Training in Family Therapy at the Tavistock Clinic in London.

Since 1982 working in clinical private practice and conducting workshops & seminars on a wide range of topics and lecturing. Director of the psychosomatic training course at the Centre for Science and Higher Eduation in Schloss Hofen, Austria.

Author of 2 books on childhood war trauma, joint author of a book on psychosomatic medicine. 30 publications in physiology, psycho- and family therapy (see section on books and publications)
